I have had a problem with endometrial/cervical polyps for many years. I had a D/C once to remove them but they always grew back, each time larger. I tried birth control pills but they interfered with my antidepressant medications and I went into a severe depression for 8 months. I am not sexually active so that is not an issue and I am not interested in having children. The polyp I have now is huge and protudes out several inches. It bleeds occasionally but otherwise it does not cause any pain or discomfort. I do not want to have a hysterectomy. I am sure that if I have it removed it will just grow back, maybe even bigger. I haven't seen a gynecologist for a long time and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations or suggestions for what to do. Maybe I should just go for a checkup to make sure it is not at risk for cancer? How would I go about finding a specialist in this area? I don't just want to go to a random gynecologist. Thanks.
