The past couple of years I have had this pain on the lower part of my abdomen. The pain is a very sharp stabbing feeling that usually will stop me in my tracks. The pain comes at random times throughout the month. Sometimes it feels as if my ovaries hurt after sex as well. I do notice the pain is not as severe or doesn't come as frequent when Im on my birth control pills on a consistant basis. I haven't seen a gynocologist for about two years now. My concern is that im still pretty young; in my early 20's and I heard it may caue infertility?

Endometriosis pain should be noticably worse after sex and before menstrating. The only way to diagnose it is exploritory surgery.
