Not really sure aside from passing a background check, having a safe pace for the kids. They have a list of conditions and unless you have otherwise done something or have been affiliated with anyone who has done anything bad to the kids, then your chances are pretty good I would suppose. Why did your mam lose that battle and are you at an adult age?

harriman, you need to put in your application and get certified with the state to do foster care. They will give you all the info you need to get started and hopefully get the children in your own home. Good luck

I'm in the same boat kind of my sisters son was removed from her and social services does not want to place my nephew with me. My nephew is native american so it gets a little complicated the tribe has cleared my home but social services said I have to many children in the home. I have my two and her oldest two already.

Well I'm in foster care and at one point I was living with a family member and I know that all she had to do was pass a backround test and prove that she was capable baced on their finances ofcource it will depend onne the state and county that you live in. each has its own rules and guidelines. Good luck and I hope that everything will work out for you and you can keep them out of foster care!!
