How do I remove the crankshaft nut that is located on the end of the crankshaft of a craftsman gas blower 358.797180? Does the nut turn off, if so what direction, and how do I stop the shaft from turning while unscrewing the nut. Or is the nut pressed on. I need to remove this nut to replace the starter pull rope assembly.

Model # and serial # would help. You can go to Owner's Manual | Find Product User Manuals - Managemyhome.com (http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/owner_manuals?psid=54057038&sid=PaidSearchxGooglexManuals) click on Craftsman or gas blower and download a manual. Because of engine rotation mant nuts like this are reversed thread, turn clockwise to loosen.
