Hi,

I have been experiencing vaginal itching & burning problem since 2 years. I have been to few doctors (Gynaecologists, Dermatologists, Obstetrician) with no luck. 2 years have passed and I am still having the problem. The problem is up to such an extent that it is impacting my personal life. Due to vaginal burning & itching I am not able to concentrate at my work as well as I am unable to have sex with my husband.

The problem started 2 years ago when I was treated with vaginal fungal (Thrush). After applying Canesten cream. The problem went away for 8 weeks and then after vaginal burning started. This time I was again treated for thrush but nothing helped. Even after inserting Canesten cream & tablets into vagina for few weeks did not resolve burning problem. As problem did not go away for few weeks, I went to see a specialist gynaecologist where she treated me with Ovestin cream as she wanted to get natural bacteria back. The treatment continued for 3 months without any help. After that I went to another specialist who thought it could be a peripheral neuropathy problem this she started treating me for the nerve problem. I took gantin gabapentine 300 capsules for 2 months as well as Endep 10mg tablets (1 tablet per day). Nothing helped. She also suggested me to see physiotherapist for the nerve treatment. All these did not help in burning thus I decided to see another doctor who had a test for pudential nerve block but the result of the test was negative thus the doctor advised me see dermatologist. She has recommended me more doses of Endep 10mg. She has also prescribed dalacin V cream. It’s been a month now but I have not seen any improvement in my burning. Can someone please help? It would be very much appreciated if someone here can guide us to correct direction to resolve my vaginal burning problem.

Thanks,
Ishi

I have the same exact problem. I have been to soooo many "Specialist's", I love being a gunnie pig, NOT! I don't have an answer for you. I have been googling forever to find an answer. I have tried all the meds, creams, etc. What I am doing now is chiropratic care. I'm looking at maybe it being a siatic nerve that's causing the burning, nubness, etc. So, that would leave the itching. I'm desperate. I am sooo confused and frustrated. I had a normal sex life and now, sex, what's that? It's been a year now and I feel my life will now longer be normal. Good luck to you. Maybe an actual doctor, the people we pay all that money to will actually be able to help us out, one day.

you might want to check into this product...

some women have a higher acidity level in thier discharge/vaginal moisture
and this can help balance it.

Firstly, I would stop with all the creams and meds.

I had a similar problem some years back and eventually I just stopped using all the medical rubbish.

I went to a homeopath who treated the issue holistically, and it took about 4-5 months but it got better and eventually disappeared. In the end the mind had to be treated as well as the body because there seemed to be no logical or physical reason for my complaint.

I would suggest speaking to a reputable alternative practitioner. Traditional Chinese Medicine is also excellent for treating these types of problems.

The other thing that I did was stop using tampons.
