Hello,

I have been on birth control since I was 12 years old and am now 21 years old. I was first put on BC because I had heavy bleeding that would lasts weeks. I havent been off of BC for more than a few months at a time. The past 2 months I have been experiencing abnormal periods for me. I usually dont start until the third or fourth pill of the last week. Whats weird is that I would bleed for 2 days and then it would stop for a day or 2 and then bleed for an additional 1-2 days. Ive never experienced that before.

This month I started on the 4th day of the last weeks pill and it only lasted for that day. I dont think this can be normal. I am sexually active with one person who ive been in a relationship for 2 1/2 years. We always use condoms in addition to the bc. I dont think I could be pregnant but i guess that could be an option.

I was just wondering if this was normal?

thanks

We all have off periods but my experience has been that the pill pretty much prevents that from happening (could be wrong, just my experience).

Could you be pregnant? Sure, there's no form of birth control that is 100% effective, even if you use condoms and the pill.

I'd go to the doctor, tell him/her what's going on just to make sure it's not more then just an off time.

Good luck.
