Hi everyone,

I am very confused at the moment. We are righting a paper and one of our suptopics is how will losing a lawsuit surrounding a patent be recorded. Would this be impaired and recorded there or would the loss be reported as an extraordinary loss? If the loss is to be counted toward impairment is it amortized over the remaining life of the patent or is the total deducted at the time the loss is incurred? Any help would be appreciated.
