I have a forced air oil furnace heating and cooling system.

I was told to run the fan on the furnace continuously. Is this correct or should it be only in the warm weather?

Running the fan will help to even the temp out in all of your rooms. Depends on if you want to hear the noise of the fans all the time or not.

I recommend running fan on auto. Continuous running of fan will result in premature motor failure. But without seeing your system, and not knowing why they suggested this, its a tossup.
