i was on depo prevera for 9 months(3 shots). now i am trying to get pregnant. i have been off for a month now and have not gotten my period yet>how long till i can concieve?

We typically tell our patients that Depo Provera is to be considered a long term form of birth control. You can expect it to take as many as 18 months to conceive after stopping the shot. While many couples conceive much earlier than 18 months, this is an average so that people don't get their hopes up too early.
