You need a specialized router to use your Aircard connection. D-Link does make one. If it is one have you contacted D-Link support?

I have a DIR450 router from Dlink along with a PC5750 card from verizon wireless. You have to activate the card on a laptop with a PCMCIA type II slot. There is a software lock on the card that needs to be released. After you install the card and software on the laptop you will be able to use it in the router.
