I am trying for a baby and my period is now 16 days late. I did a test when I was 8 days late and it was negative, Could I still be pregnant and if I am not can I still fall pregnant?
I am worried as to why I have not come on, I am 39 but did fall pregnant 8 months ago but sadly had a miscarriage.
Thank you

Are you normally very regular? If so, now that another week has gone by without your period, maybe try another test.

You might be just skipping this month as well....if you are ovulating, then yes, you can still fall pregnant since ovulation will occur before you have a period.

Certainly take another test, but keep trying as well.....fingers crossed!

Thanks for the response.
Yes I have always been regular up until 3 months ago. Have been early for 2 months and then a week late last month.
I did another test today and unfortunately it was negative. Just findit weird that I havent come on yet. Worried that because of my age I may not be able to pregnant again

It's possible your cycles are starting to change a bit due to your age. See what happens later this month; your period may be setting a different pattern or just be off for a few cycles. Determine when you are due for another from when it came last month. See what happens by the end of this month or when you would expect to have it show up in June.
Keep trying regardless, but test again, perhaps in a few weeks if still no period. You can always see your gp if you don't have a period at all this month and if you still get a negative test result.
