Joshdta May 9, 2009, 07:01 PM No actually it is roughly about 800sf per ton for residential cooling. hvac1000 May 9, 2009, 07:19 PM tk03 May 10, 2009, 05:39 AM HVAC equipment needs to be properly sized by using a manual J calculation. On other sights they are talking about rate increases on electric and gas. As prices continue to climb the need for proper sizing increases. Oversized equipment produce less comfort, more upfront costs, higher operating costs and more maintenance.
