HI... i delivered on feb 11 this year [normal vaccum extraction] and am not lactating, hence not breast feeding at all...my periods started 4 days after a 6 weeks of lochia and i experienced heavy bleeding... the second period was normal and during the third period in may, again there was excruciating pain and heavy bleeding..what could be the possible reason... the doc has advised me to start pause MF for 3 days X 3 , if not successful then to do sonography and start hormone treatment... explain what is happening to my body. i have never before had menstrual pains or heavy bleeding before

I am only a teen and i haven't had any children, but i know that i have my period every four to five months and they last for months. The doctor said that since my periods were so delyed it all came out at once and it was heavy and painful. I went through a 35 box of pads in 2 weeks! It's probably becasue you havent had your period in nine months and the baby is pressed up against the ovaries. SO your body is letting out all the months of backed up period blood. But good luck!
