Hard to say. It could mean it is simply processing a print job. It could also mean a problem has been detected. Really can't say for sure since you didn't list the printer brand and model.

Please check in the print que some document might be pending for printing. Remove it.
Then delete printer.

If not. Then go to control panel- administrative tools - services.

Here stop the printer spooler service.

In the option startup type select disable.

Now restart you computer.

After restarting. Again enable the the spooler service and also select automatic in service

startup type.

Try printing your document.
