Hello, I forgot my Windows 2000 Admin password. My LiteOn cd drive is not being recognized and does not work. I need to uninstall the liteon in dev manager, and let it reinstall upon reboot. I can't do this without the password. Is there a work around for this type of situation?

Ok is this CD Drive USB or internal, fire wire, e-sata??? If you need admin access and you forgot the admin password there is free software to reset password and enable built in administrator account Offline NT Password & Registry Editor (http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/)
But you need working CD-Rom drive to boot from, you can always try USB Flash drive floppy emulation to boot if you don’t have working CD-ROM but your mother board must support usb boot
