I was on birth control up until last month. Once I got off of it, I got my period. Now I expected to get my period this Monday, and on Tuesday I thought I got my period, but It turned out to be brown discharge, which I had for about a day. Is this normal? Now I am in the clear. I also just lost 15 pounds.

Might be normal....some wome find it may take 2 or 3 cycles to get back to a regular pattern for your periods.

I always get a brown discharge around the time of my period. Usually for about two days after the bleeding stops. You might have just had a really light period (brown) since the pill can still be affecting you a bit.
