mksant Apr 14, 2009, 04:16 PM I have an error code that says the aux spill swich is open, But I think it is just going bad because it works sometimes and may be getting ready to go bad. where to find an aux spill switch for york diamond 80 furnace?

first take the top door off of your unit
Joshdta Apr 14, 2009, 04:39 PM Then locate the burners, on one side will be the ignitor, usually the right. and on the other side will be the flame rod.

mksant Apr 14, 2009, 04:47 PM yes, If i turn the unit off and back on after I take the cover off it seem to for fine over night but when I get home in the evening it's back to the same thing. That which is I turn the thermostat up it kicks on and off after a quick cycle and goes off until I take the cover off and restart it again

Joshdta Apr 14, 2009, 04:56 PM ok well try the flame sensor, and while you are down there look on the back of the furnace doors for the fault code chart and see if it matches what you found online. And get back too me. i am usually on here in the morning around 8 and in the evenings for a hr or so.. josh

mksant Apr 21, 2009, 03:18 PM the blower doesnt run all the time and the error light has stopped flashing and its been working fine since the cleaning of the flame sensor.
