Just list the child's name and SSN, and state that he lived with you the entire 12 months.

By law, you are allowed to claim any child born in 2008 as if he/she lived with you for all of 2008, so my instructions will allow you to claim the $1,000 Child Tax Credit on whatever tax software you are using.
