My Son attends the US Naval Academy. When he began - our home state was Georgia. However, this changed almost immediately when our family moved to Florida. The Academy pays it's students a small monthly salary. Taxes were withheld in 2007 and 2008 for the state of Georgia. Again - our legal state of residence during that time was Florida. Our son is counted as a dependant on our taxes (college age - full time college student). I'm unsure how to file his taxes to get the Georgia taxes refunded. Any ideas?

File in GA showing that taxes were withheld but his GA-based income is $0 - that should get him a full refund. Also (obviously) - he should update his home address with the academy registrar to avoid this hapening again.
