Hello!

I am an R1 visa holder and in my first year in the US. I wanted to know which taxes exactly am I obliged to pay and which I do not. I live in Pennsylvania.
Also do I have to only submit 1040 or something else?
Also can I submit one 1040 for me and my wife or 2 separates?

Thanks so much!!!

When did you enter the U.S. on R1 visa?
You must pay SS tax, Medicare tax, federal income tax and state income tax.
