i have a florida license which i received in march 2008. i thought i would transfer schools, but have decided against it. i work in new york as well as live.

i am in a seek student in new york city, which is a state funded program that offers much assistance to my education. i will lose eligibility if i am recognized as an out of state student. i was debating on putting off doing my taxes this year but also didn't even know if that was a real possibility.

what are my options?

If you live in NY and work in NY you are a NY resident. The fact that your driver's license is from FL is immaterial. If you owe taxes you should file (federal and NY State).
