It is the side effect that will make one lighter. But L-glutathione/Glutathione pills won't work because majority (up to 80%) of the medicine will be broken down by the enzymes and absorbed by the digestive system, and little amount will go through the blood stream. Your glutamine levels will only rise a little, but you would need your GSH levels to rise significantly in order for you to have the side effect of lighter skin.
