around the 14th of Feb i was put on Antibiotics for a chest infection. i was warned that these would affect my pill. as it was valentines wkend i did have sex. i had a period on the 21st of feb altho it wasnt as long or heavy as it normally is. i have since been feeling sick alot going to the toilet abit more regular and ahould have gotten a period on the 20th of march but didnt. today the 24th i noticed some bleeding but not much. what do you think?

It could be your period is about to start....maybe give it until the weekend and see if your period is just late. If it doesn't show, try a pregnancy test.

Perhaps being ill and using the antibiotics threw it off this cycle. Being off a few days either side is not unusual....sometimes due to hormone fluctuations, sometimes simply due to the number of days in each month.

If you want, go ahead and try a pregnancy test now. If you get a negative, give it a bit more time and see what happens. Still no period after several more days.....try another test at that time.

Antibiotics greatly reduce the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill. Please get a pregnancy test or see your doctor.

ok so i did a test yesterday which was negative... i have been bleeding slightly but only spotting...
