my printer does not print anything out. it prints blank sheets. i updated the drivers and changed the cartridge but it just pulls the paper through slowly as if it is printing something out but the sheets are all blank. it also sometimes pulls the whole stack of paper through or pulls the paper in and out before it tries to print. i took the sticker off of the cartridge so that isn't the problem. i also tried different cartridges and the ink level is full when the printer is about to print something out. i think there might be something mechanical wrong with but i can't tell. any suggestions of what might be wrong?

... it also sometimes pulls the whole stack of paper through ...

That behavior is usually due to a worn out pickup roller and/or separation pad.

i also tried different cartridges and the ink level is full when the printer is about to print something out.

Some printer designs have a print head that delivers the ink from the cartridge to the page. Lack of regular use can result in the ink drying and clogging the head. Could conceivably be an electronics problem too.

i was thinking the same thing about the rollers because they kind of make a weird sound. the ink cartridges are new though so i don't think the ink is dry. i'm pretty sure it's something inside that's wrong i just can't quite put my finger on it. thanks though
