You will have to replace the entire unit with an electric one. wmproop Mar 22, 2009, 01:57 PM yep 1st remove the gas furnace 2nd install a electric furnace the make sures make sure before you start that your breaker/power box can handle the electric furnace/air handler make sure you get several 2 0r 3 differant estimates make sure they know what they are doing make sure the installer does good work the install is very important goodluck,,,,,,let us know how it works out around here ,we just got a notice that the power company wants a 45% price increase KC13 Mar 22, 2009, 03:33 PM Consider replacing your air conditioner with a heat pump. This "hybrid" arrangement will give you the option of using the most cost-effective energy source. dac122 Mar 22, 2009, 07:22 PM As mentioned there is no such thing as conversion in this case, just replacement. If you're cool with that post your utility costs including taxes and I can reply with some operating cost comparisons. Copyright ©2005-, Ask Me Help Desk
