Our central heater won't come on....It does not even make a sound when I try to set the temp. Could it be the thermostat?

Make sure you didnt shut the emergecy switch off by accident, check circuit breakers and then go to furnace , see if the switch is on, if it is shut off for 10 seconds and turn back on. Give me more info what kind of furnace gas , propane,electric ? Is there a light lit on circuit board need more info. Mikie D.
