Hi

I was curious to know how we calculate Medicare Tax witheld in NY State. I was doing my taxes myself this year. Usually my husband does it.

But I was really curious about the calculation.

If you can please teach me?

The Medicare is a flat tax that is assessed on all income ta a 1.45% rate. Determine the amount of tax owed is grade-school math.
