So, I got off of my birth control (Yaz) in August 2007 because it started to make me sick. (Chest pains, mood swings, fluctuation in appetite/weight, etc.) And since late September, I haven't had a menstrual period. Also, I've been having a strange white discharge since then as well.

What should I do? I don't have health insurance anymore because I just turned 22 last month and I'm not sure if I could afford a clinic visit at this time.

I would also like to know if anyone here, or anyone you've might have heard of has had something similar happen to them.

I meant August 2008..... NOT 2007

I had the same problem. I was on Yaz for 6 years and I started to become depressed so I came off of it July 2008. I didn't start to get my period again until January 2009. No worries. Enjoy the time without it. The discharge on the other hand, I'm actually still having that problem. Apparently, it's from having too much yeast in your system. I was getting yeast infections every other week and I blame it on Yaz. My body still isn't back to normal yet. I wouldn't worry too much but I would definatly save up some money and get everything checked out just to be sure everything's ok. In the mean time you can try eating yogurt and drinking cranberry juice 3 times a week to help prevent yeast infections which is partly what the discharge is probally from. There is also over the counter pills you can take to control the yeast in your body called AZO. You can get it anywhere almost (cvs, walgreens, shoprite) Look into it but DEFINATLY go see an OB/GYN!
