I have a gibson forced hot air furnace and a have a code that is telling me that the pressure switch is open. If i drain the water out of it it will run for a short period of time.. Do you think i need a new pressure switch or do i have a drainage line clogged.

Where are you draining the water from? If this action restores function for a while, I suspect you have clogged hoses or condensate trap.

I pulled the hose off the pressure switch and water drained out. Is that normal?

I pulled the hose off the pressure switch and water drained out. Is that normal?Definitely not. The furnace is accumulating condensate, probably due to a clogged hose or trap. Remove the pressure switch and shake it to see if any water comes out. If so, it is likely damaged.
