I've just started training for a 1/2 a marathon. Does anybody have good tips or websites I can visit?

Thx!

Runner's world magazine has a great website, and I recommend the mag as well. Also, the eat clean cookbook (by Tosca Reno) to keep you fully fueled. Enjoy!

Here are some sites that will help you train for a half marathon. Typically the plans follow a 10 or 12-week schedule and are adjusted based on your fitness level and running experience (novice, intermediate, advanced).

Another good site to help you find the right half marathon to run or walk is http://www.halfmarathons.net/.

And if you prefer to use a book to help you through the training (with suggestions about nutrition, rest, shoes, strengthening, etc.), a good choice is Jeff Galloway's "Half Marathon: You Can Do It." I believe it is available in most bookstores and also on Amazon.

Good luck and enjoy the race!
