I used DAP Kwik Seal Plus caulk in the floor of my shower drain. We took about 4 showers and caulk is gone and it leaks into our first floor. What caulk should I use that will stay even when taking showers?

How long did you let the caulk set up anf cure before you used the shower? Cheers, Tom

There is something off here. DAP Kwik Seal should be fine for this. It will not dissolve but did you see it come off in one big chunk? I would suspect that the surface was not clean and dry. Can you tell us more?

It was put in white turned clear. I had cleaned out the area before putting in the new caulk.
It is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep there is a plate that does over the drain.
There is now more caulk left in that area. It is caulk that went around drain in the floor.

The shower drain has to be DRY and completely CLEAN for caulk to adhere well. That is especially true if your DAP caulking contains any silicon. Drying time is minimum 72 hours. During drying time you should provide adequate ventilation. No high moisture inside shower including proximity of new caulk and standing water. What you describing indicates that all of the above was not followed.

Snap a photo of it and post it.

All I can think is your caulk was not sufficiently cured before you started using the shower. I would reclean the area with both a stiff brush followed by a wipe with solvent, use t5he same product again but allow 3 days to cure. This stuff has a mildewcide built right in it.
