I need to write a Research Design paper (basically a paper answering a "why?" question) about a topic pertaining to international organizations....I had a topic but it seems to be a lot harder than i thought it would be...

My original topic was Genocide in the UN and how it is determined...but now I am having a problem finding independent variables for it? I dont know if anyone can help but HELP!
