A mobile home was purchased in 2002 and paid for in cash. The bill of sale was put in the daughter's name but paid for by the father. The daughter thought her father had received the title and the father thought the daughter had received the title. Now it turns out after 7years that neither had received the title because the mobile home dealer never applied for the title because it was paid for in cash. How do we go about applying for the title and avoid being required to pay ad valorem taxes over the past 7 years? We have received no notices from the county office. We would like to sale the mobile home but have no title. Please advise how best to handle this situation.
Thanks,

You need to contact the DMV or whomever manages motor home titles in your area. Show them the bill of sale and ask that a new title be issued.
