Hi, I am worried because I used turbotax and I think I filled 1040 but as I am f1 student I think I had to fille the 1040 NR. Today I received my return and it was 300 over beacuse of the stimulus and 400 more beacuse the earned incoming credit. Also I received the amount that appears in the w2.
I think I should have a mistake and I have to return this money back to irs, but I am afraid because I really do not know how to do that and how to give this money back.

I am here in the us since 2007, and I thought I was allien for tax proposes but i did not know that it doesnt apply for students. I really appreciate your help, thanks

You HAVE filed in error and WILL need to return the money.

File an amended return (Form 1040X) with a properly-prepared Forms 1040NR-EZ and 8843 attached. Do this BEFORE 15 April 2009 and tehre will be no penalties and no interest.

When you file the amended return, you will write the check to return the EIC and the RRC.
