Hello i'm trying to replace my old thermostat Amana with a new one from honeywell
the old is :
Amana not sure which numbers are the model number so i'll list them all.
(Q674F 1022)
(T874C 1059)
class 2 30V max LR1620
wires that were hooked up are:
brown-X2
white-W1
blue-W2
Green-G
red-R
Orange-O
black-Y1
grey-E
neon green-X1
and there is another red wire that isn't connected to any thing.


the honeywell is model RTH7400
And the options for heat pump are:
C
G
Y
O/B
RC
R
AUX
E
L

I hope i have provided enough info for some help on the install

Here is your old sub base wiring diagram. Just transpose to the new. Note the X wire will not be hooked up I believe so just tape it off.

wow that was a fast response hvac1000! ok i see the description of the old system but how do i find this on the new one to know which wires go where? i.e. On the old one it looks like the G was fan relay but how do i find what the fan relay is on the honeywell? and so on/.

One of these should have come with the new thermostat. Read it and wire as stated.

Ok maybe i'm making this harder than it is I guess what i really need is which color wire from the old Amana thermostat to the new honeywell. Would it help if i sent a picture of the old one wired up?
