I have been on prozac for ~ 10 years. I spoke to my D. about going off of it. She told me how I can wean myself from it. My question is at what point can I add SAMe? Can they be taken together?? Thanks

I would do nothing without your Doctor's approval. The fact that something is "natural" doesn't mean it's safe.

You need a dr to help you make the change.
If you take SAMe while taking Prozac that would basically be like double dosing.
You can't quit prozac cold turkey.
I think you can wean off one and possibly do the difference with the SAMe
BUT you really would need a doctor or an alternative meds doctor that knows what they are doing. When and how often to wean what amount of Prozac and when to add what amount of the SAMe.
