I have a Lennox Value 10 Heat Pump. Last night I heard the Heat Pump trying to start but it would not. This morning I took the unit apart and checked the fan thinking that the fan motor was blown. The fan moved freely. The unit acts as if it is going to kick on for about a qt second and then shuts down. What other problems could be causing the unit to not start up?

It sounds like a problem with the start relay or start capacitor If so equiped. Lennox is difficult to find wiring diagrams for so I might not be of much help. A real complete Exact model number is necessary to search my network main frame.
