I had my last shot in August of last year. I haven't had a period yet. How soon after coming off the shot can you get pregnant and would the shot alter a pregnancy test? I don't understand why it is taking so long for me to have a period.

Depo can be tricky. It affects women in different ways, and can potentially be very bad for you. My experience with it was similar. My doctor informed me that after using it for over a year and a half, it can take up to two years for you to be fertile again. When I got off depo I didn't have a period for a couple of months and then was a little irregular for a while. I don't see how it would affect a pregnancy test, but if you're very worried you should get a more legit pregnancy test at your doctor.
