That depends on HOW LONG you have been in country.

If you were in country for EVERY day of 2008, then you file as a resident alien, filing Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ.

If you were in country for MORE than 183 days, you file as a dual-status alien, filing BOTH Forms 1040 and 1040NR. NOTE: Get professional help to file a dual-status return.

If you were in country for LESS than 183 days, you file as a non-resident alien, filing Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ.
