I am 15 years old. My period usually only goes for 5-6 days.
I recently went to the Murray river for 9 days and was constanty swimming. For the last two days of my stay there i got my period. I wore a pad and still swam. Now it has been over two weeks and i still have my period. I am scared that there is something wronge. Can you please help me? Is there something wronge? Should i see my doctor?

You're 15 and probably haven't had your period for that long...sometimes it takes several years for a woman to get on a regular schedule. I would do the same thing, go for long a long time and sometimes even miss a month until I got regular. My point is, it's normal but I would always recommend going to the doctor to get a check up! Sometimes they can put you on birth control and this will help out a lot! Good luck!

you went swimming, and the pressure from the water stopped your period. You're still on it now because the blood is now allowed to be released. it happens to some women. when i would go swimming on my period, it would stop, sure, but when it came back, it came back with a vengeance and lasted longer than usual.
