I noticed bumps on my labia a few days ago. They didn't hurt until now though. They are very itchy and painful at the moment. I was recently treated for a yeast infection and a few days before I noticed the bumps I thought I was getting another yeast infection but the itching stopped after a day or so. Before my doctor found out it was a yeast infection she thought it might have just been sensitive/irritated skin. I am sexually active, so does anyone think herpes is a possibility?

It could be herpes, but before we go there, do you shave?

Yes, I do shave. The doctor told me not to but its a hard habbit to break.
Now that i think about it, I think I've noticed these bumps before, but don't remember any pain.

Could be razor burn or the hair growing back. Have you been tested for STDs? Usually, though, these are not "itchy"

thanks for your help. What is the difference between blisters resulting from herpes and bumps?

I've seen both blisters and bumps associated with herpes. It takes a doctor's diagnosis to diagnose and treat it properly.
