Have you done any electrical work before? Do you know what is required as far as wire gauge, wire types (old k&t?), grounding, box fill, etc? Do you know what Hot and Neutral are? Can you trace a circuit if, when you open the outlet up, there are a bunch of wires that look a lot alike?

I really don't mean to insult you, but the hardest part of that job (physically) is installing the new box for the switch and running the wire, so if you ask how to do it I'm skeptical that you know what you are getting into. Electricity is nothing to fool with. What you don't know can kill you.
