Have tried copy/paste but I get a message stating "make sure the destination area is as large as the info you wish to paste" .Anyone help please?

What this is telling you is you are trying to copy a different sized area.
For example a 3 x 3 area will not fit in a 2 x 2 area, hope this makes sense.
The way to copy is to NOT select the complete area in the spreadsheet, just paste into one cell and it will enlarge to fit.
