Did you file W4 or W9? If you filed W9, you are an independent contractor and you must file return if income is $400 or more.

If you get a W-2 from each job and you had NO income taxes (federal or state) withheld, and these were your ONLY source of income, you have no legal requirement to file a tax return.

However, keep an eye on the news. The upcoming economic stimulus rebate may require that you file a return to qualify.

Finally, if you did NOT get a Economic Stimulus Rebate in 2007, this income may be enough to qualify you for the $300 Recovery Rebate. Look at the instructions for 2008 Form 1040A to determine if $950 is enough to qualify.
