I am on L1 Visa. I have been in US from July 15th 2008 to till date. I have SSN.My wife had SSN and EAD also. I heard Obama had announced $1000 return for

2008 tax payers apart from general tax returns. Is it correct? If so are we eligible ? And also please tell the process how to go through it and the form i have to submit to get this benifit.

We have been in US from july 2008. We r not aware of any details regarding tax returns and refunds etc.

If you stay for LESS than one year, you have the option to deduct your daily living expenses as an itemized expenses, because your job is seen as a temporary job assignment by the IRS.

This can be quite a deduction if you are working and living in a high cost of living area like Los Angeles or New York City.
