why does my heat pump run a long time,like at least a hour then cuts off for about five mintes then starts back up again? #2 why does the big fan on the pump stop turning sometimes? #3 what temp. should i be getting from my vents with the heat on,and should it remain the same no matter what the outside temp. is?

You are likely in defrost mode when the OD fan stops.

Indoor vent discharge temp will drop with outdoor temp, or as the lift (delta t between ID and OD temps) becomes larger.
