I am replacing my old thermostat a Trane BAYSTAT240A with a honeywell RTH7500 series one. There were eight wires on my old W- B- X2-Y-G-O-R-and a T. There is no spot to hook up the T wire although I got the unit to work. Right now the biggest problem is I can't read the display good because the only time it comes on is if I touch a botton. Note on the old thermostat the R wire comes up around the mercury switch and then goes through a resistor and back under to where the T wire is connected to a small plate and this is what the top of the thermostat mounts to. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Besides following the manufactures install instructions the onlt thing I can offer you is this change over wire sub list. Look at the trane and GE baystat items. The T wire will not be used on the new thermostat just tape off.
