I have a Maple Chase 09520 thermostat that I am replacing with a Hunter Just Right thermostat. There are 7 wires for the Maple Chase and only 5 for the Hunter. Which do I use? And what do I do with the extras? This is how it is wired in the Maple Chase:

blue-->C
red-->R
yellow-->Y
white-->E
green-->G
brown-->W2
orange-->O

the Hunter has the following slots

G, W, Y, Rh, Rc

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

do you have a heatpump? looking at the wires from the old tstat I`d guess you have.,,
if so I see two problems
1st you bought a hunter tstat,,(junk)
2nd the tstat is wrong for a heat pump

take the junk back,,,and get a honeywell that is for a heatpump,,if thats what you have
