Day 1: Wash my face with the Glutathione Soap. Let sit for 5 minutes. Rinse well, while my face was still damp, I applied the Gluta- C cream.

Results: My face still looks the same. No visible signs of change. No pain or tenderness.

Before using the Funky Mommy Products:

* I have been using a soap with HQ in it for approx. 4 months before using FM's products. My face suffered damage such as, discoloration, pain, swelling, hyper-pigmentation, and burns (not severe)

*I allowed my skin to rejuvenate for 5 days, then used the soap for 1 1/2 days before using the FM's products.

* The name of the particular soap- "True N' Tone"- delivers great results for the first month. After continued use, this soap delivers a nightmare. I do not recommend.

Day 2: Awoke this morning. Wash face with Glutathione Soap. Let sit for approx. 5 minutes. Rinse well. Continue with day.

Results: Face was a bit tender, and red. Face was dry. No visible signs of change in color. Face was shinny.

Later that day:

Wash face with Glutathione Soap. Let sit for 3 minutes. Rinse face. While face was still damp, applied Gluta C cream. Went to sleep for 3 hours.

Results: Face was red. Face was shinny and smooth. No visible signs of change in color.

12/31/2008

Day 3: Awoke this AM.Wash face with Glutathione Soap. Let sit for approx. 5 minutes. Rinse well.

Results: Face was sore, red, and tight. Face was shinny and smooth. Face was dry and all signs of acne had been exfoliated. Not visible signs of change in color.

* I will continue to provide you guys with updates. Especially, until the two weeks are up. After speaking with the rep at FM, it was mentioned that the results will become apparent after one week of continued use.

*I'll see.

Yuo should have waited at least a week before starting another whitening regimen, this way you're sure not to have any reaction from the old product & FM soap.
Also, who told you to let it sit for 5 minutes, i think that's a bit harsh to leave it on for that long. I was not advise by the seller to leave it for 5 minutes, 30 seconds to a minute was enough.
Maybe that's the reason why your skin was sore & red.:confused:

Day 4: The same regime during the AM hours.

Results: My face is much smoother and exfoliated, quite well. Face is peeling around the nose and mouth, slightly. A bit sore around the lower eyes. Skin is tight, so tight that I have to add the cream to stretch my mouth, after washing with the soap. No visible signs of change, in reference to skin color.

* Thanks to Carmen, I have decided not to leave the soap on for longer than 1 minute. Perhaps, this explains why my skin is so sore.

* I have seen changes in the color of my arms BUT not my hands. They are 1 shade lighter. I use both the Cream and soap, the same regime as my face.

* I believe my face is taking longer due to the continued use of HQ soap. I can only anticipate this product will work!

Are you quite acne prone? Did it dry out the acne or just peeled it off?

Hi PunkChic! My face and skin has never been "acne prone," never! It became this way only after the continued use of a soap that contained HQ, True N' Tone. My face began to develop small red bumps that would eventually leave spots, dark spots.

I can say that FM's soap and or cream has aided in clearing up this small issue. It really has! However, I have yet to see any skin lightening results. I am eagerly awaiting and a bit skeptical about this product. After reviewing all of the discussion threads about FM, I thought to try it! Hope it works..lol

Yes i have, but i am only using the cream at night NOT during the day, that's what' on the instruction and it gave me absolute great results. The soap can be drying if you are not using a good moisturizer.
I love the peeling part, yes it can be messy sometimes but after 2 weeks, my skin feels like a baby's bottom, the lightening occurs after 2 weeks for me, i dont know with you, as results are not the same for each user. some people here say they got results in just a week, wow that was fast. But im ok with mine, i tend to be a little scared when results are too quick lol, im paranoid i guess. But im glad wth the end results.
Im only using the cream twice a week just for maintenance as im already light. i use sunblock during the day and FM Glutathione soap and Dove soap intervally (every other day). No need for me to use it every day now as i have achieve the tone/color that i like.

Day 6: I awoke this AM and washed my face with the Glutathione Soap. Rinse face with lukewarm water. Pat dry, not rub.

Results: I awoke this AM and noticed my face was peeling, all over. Peeling occurred around the eyes, brows, cheeks, and chin. The peeling looks like dandruff. Face is no longer tight and sore. Face is a bit dry, and needs a good moisturizer. There are visible signs of change in color. To my surprise, I am 1 shade lighter! Neck and hands has no changed in color. Acne has completely cleared. Most signs of hyper-pigmentation are starting to fade.

*Yesterday, my face was so dark! Perhaps, the skin has to adjust to this product change thus, making the skin darker in pigmentation before lightening? I was so disappointed yesterday and was going to throw this product out of a moving car!

*Before hand, I wanted to speak with a representative at the FM location in New York. It was mentioned to give this product a little time to adjust and use a SPF 15-30 during the daytime hours, of which I have not done. I will purchase a good SPF and moisturizer, all in one, today. It was also mentioned not to use the Glutathione Soap for longer than 1 minute. This could explain the soreness of my face.

*Overall, I did not discontinue the use of these particular products because I did not see results as fast as I wanted. Actually, my face peeled really fast, and is still peeling. I saw the early signs of results as soon as a week. How great is that?

Day 12: I awoke this AM to wash my face with the Glutathione Soap with cool water, careful in avoiding the lip area. (avoids the peeling of and around my lips) Pat dry. It's very important not to rub the skin but pat dry. Apply Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock SPF 70 with helioplex.($12.00 at any local CVS)http://health-beauty.pricegrabber.com/other-face-care/m/62013280/ This product works great and offers a superior anti-aging protection. Allow sunscreen shield to dry. To avoid the greasy feel, I recommend applying 1 coat to the skin. When this product dries, the skin will appear lighter.

PM Routine: Wash my face with the Glutathione Soap. Pat dry. Allow skin to rejuvenate for approximately 15 minutes. Apply a quarter size amount of the Gluta C skin lightening cream over the face and neck, hands and arms. Wash arms and hands with the Glutathione Soap, paying very close attention to the problem areas (i.e. elbows, knuckles, and forearms.) Rub dry. Apply the Gluta C skin lightening cream.

PM Routine Results: Arms lightened the first week of use. There were no signs of redness, soreness, and or peeling. However, my hands did not lighten as fast. I am still awaiting the results, and will report them as soon as possible.

Results: My face has a permanent shine. The skin is very tight and clear. Previous signs of hyper pigmentation has vanished. The skin is dry underneath the chin and eyes. Especially around the eyes, this skin has peeled again (twice already) The skin is more radiant. I do not wear as much makeup. Before the inital use of Funky Mommy's products (Glutathione Soap and Gluta C Skin lightening cream) I would never, ever appear in public without MAC concealer (NW45) Today, I am happy to report that I can and have went out a time or two without any makeup! Wow! The results are gradual and with continued use, it's possible to skip a night or two without the nightly regime and still garner the same results (I have noticed so far) Also, I have changed my MAC concelor to NW40. NW45 is far to red and dark for the new complexion.

* Sorry guys (Carmen and G8stuff), I have been extremely busy the past week and have not reported my changes.

*Some mornings, I awake to noticed my face looks a bit red. My face is no longer sore around the eyes and cheeks. However, I have noticed that it's very important to purchase a great sun block (and use it all the time, even in your home) the light from light bulbs may hinder your lightening process. Avoid the sun at all cost!

*After washing my face with the Glutathione Soap, my skin feels like it has under went a face lift. It's extremely tight, especially around the eyes and mouth. I have lightened 1 1/2 shades thus far, and still going.

*There are no bad side effects to note this week. The worst time was awaiting to see results the first week of use.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you all for reading my progress and posting your questions and or comments. I have been using Funky Mommy's Gluta C Skin lightening cream and Glutathione soap for 18 days now. I must admit, when starting this process I was a bit skeptical and hesitant, not to mention in very bad shape from the "True n' Tone HQ soap," so, naturally I was in search for a product that would compliment my skin and heal the damage the previous product left.

Funky Mommy's product has worked for me, quite well. The process has been slow and all of the details have been recorded for anyone to read. This was done because I want anyone who may be interested in speanding over 60 bucks for a product to know how this has worked for me. It's still working actually.

Lastnite, I did not use anything, no soap pr cream. When I awoke this AM my face was still lightening. Wow! What a surprise. I am through with the peeling process, thank GOD, and moving into the rejuvenation process now.

Here's a photo that was taken last nite. I have lighten approx. 2 shades, that's all, wish it were more...but, it sure beats using a product that will lighten in 1 week, and leave a mess of hyper-pigmentation and sores all over your face, whew...i've been there, and it's no fun.

Hey UltraSparks! I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the Gluta C cream, what was your daily regime and skin complexion? Were you using any other products during and or before using the cream? It has definitely worked well for me thus far, however, the lightening process is a bit slow..still waiting for more results.

I've been using the soap for around a week now, difficult to tell if it's worked or not. But one question, is it not supposed to tingle a little bit when it's on your face or hands? I apply it and leave it on for a few minutes but I don't get any kind of tingling sensation??

It doesn't tingle for me either, but again like you, it is too early for me to say if it works. I am not a great believer in soaps for lightening, but thought there would be no harm in me trying.

I have been using Gluta-C since November without the soap. I have become atleast 5 shades lighter since then. I follow their instructions very carefully. I'd be happy to answer any questions you people have. What I have noticed with Gluta-C is, your skin decides how light it can go. Prolonged use will not make more and more lighter. Instead, you may becomes a few shades light and then stay that way. The cream then acts as a maintenance. Right now, I use it for maintenance, and it can last me about 4 - 5 months.

as I said before I personally don't know if you can achieve anything from using a soap. At the moment can't really tell if it is making any difference so can't report anything. Maybe someone else has had a different experience.

from funkymommy.net..you could buy it together or seperately. i didn't get the soap cuz it looked like it was too much of a hassle. besides, it worked fine without it for me..and i'm indian.

I am desperate to get rid of my acne scars as soon as possile, and lighten up my skin also. Which is the best product to get rid of my acne scars while lightening up my skin? How long will results take roughly? Also, do funky mommy products give a yellowish look, or a paler/whiter look? Do they actually wighten/lighten you, or just brighten your skin? Wow! It has really been sometime since I have last posted to this forum. I really appreciate everyone for your efforts to continuously inform and provide additional details about the latest skin lightening products.

Day 46:

"Gluta- C Skin Lightening Cream" Test and Results: I decided to discontinue this product for 1 week, to see if the complexion and results would remain the same, as the manufacturer promised. Here are my findings; After a substantial amount of time, this product delivers what it promises. My skin has remained the same complexion and there are no signs of hyper-pigmentation. However, my skin began to look a bit dull and less vibrant, as noted before. Overall, this product remains highly recommended.

"Gluthanione Soap" Test and Results:

The Gluthanione soap works as an exfoliate by opening the facial pores and prepares the skin for the skin lightening treatment. If one decides to only use the Gluthanione Soap, without the use of Gluta- C Cream, then this process will not deliver skin lightening results desired. The Gluthanione Soap when used alone, has not lightened my skin at all. In fact, this soap stopped working altogether. I was very disappointed. These results were noticed within 3 days of discontinuing the use of Gluta- C Skin Lightening Cream.

*Overall, this was a test to see if the results would remain the same. This product is great!

* 1 Week After The Test*

Day 51: The daily regime consists of the same routine. In the A.M I wash my face in the Gluthanione Soap, allow the foam to sit for approx. 1.5 minutes, rinse well, then apply a thin layer of Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock SPF 70 with helioplex, to the already damp skin, and continue with the day.

P.M Routine: After a full day of perspiration, my face remains the same complexion as before, but needs a cleansing. After repeating the A.M routine, I then apply a thin layer of the Gluta- C Skin Lightening Cream to the already damp skin, and continue usual activities.

Results: Thus far, the results that I have received from using both the Gluta- C Skin Lightening Cream and Gluthanione Soap are remarkable. The face appears more vibrant, healthy, and has obtained it's complexion. This is a product that I would recommend to anyone who wishes to naturally lighten their skin, gradually. This product has not delivered "over night results" for me, but has made the overall complexion very appealing to the eye. This product is highly recommended.

* One week after the test, my results began to change by returing my skin to the desired complexion and glow, within 3 days of continued use.

Thanks Carmen for the response. I just placed an order for 2 additional 4 oz containers and 1 bar of Kojic Soap. In fact, i still have enough Gluta- soap from the order that was placed in Dec of 2008. So, one bar of soap, when used twice per day only on the face, neck, and ears, will last approx. 2 months. I will post the results using the Kojic soap sometime in the near future.

Please refer to the previous thread responses to answer this question. The cream works gradually, this is not a over night fix. When the product begins to work, it evens quite well with the overall complexion. Keep in mind, that Spring will arrive very soon. SO, avoid the sun at all costs. The summer is always the toughest time to lighten due to the UV rays. Last summer, I began to lighten my face using HQ. BIG ISSUE (refer yo my previous posting to hear how that turned out)

If you are beginning to lighten your skin, this season, please consider using the cream on your arms. Doing so, will avoid a tan. Also, I am sure that you will have great results ising this product. After all, it contains all natural ingredients that will lighten the skin such as: arbutin, glutathione, kojic acid, and retin a. These are the only active ingredients, thus making this cream a very potent topical.

I'm glad Gluta-C worked for you. How many shades have you lightened? It reminds me Diana Stalder because I peeled with Diana Stalder but didn't give me the results I wanted so I'm gonna be giving this product a miss.

Also, for the record, turns out Carmen had multiple names. Remember SimplyJane? That was her too. Which leads me to believe Carmen was probably Funkymommy. Sad really. Puts me off buying anything off her all together!!

That's rather interesting. So, how did you find out that Carmen had so many names? Regardless, this product has worked wonders for me. I would reccommend that anyone who is interested in lightening their skin a few shades, or ridding oneself of hyper-pigmentations to give this product a try.

hello linksys2000 i cant totally avoid the sun should i still try gluta c? i cant even pass the brown paper bag test and i really want to be lighter. you said it failed to work on a long term basis but i plan on using the supplement and gluta kojic soap mix along with the cream. i need your input please.
