Hello...Please can you gicve me advise...i had a mirena inserted on the 21/11 and bleed the first day then no bleeding occurred again until the 8/12 to which my bleeding was heavy. However i am still bleeding, in fact it is mainly surface blood but is very frustrating as i still have to wear a pad and panty liner during the day..i start off with pad then when i see no blood i change to panty liner then blood appears again.. It is making life frustrating sexually as i never know when the blood will be gone and i chance it some nights with my partner....

What i want to know is, is this normal for the mirena and how long will this last, am i to be constantly bleeding for 6 months?

i have just had my mirena took out as it made me feel horrible,but i can say it does give u irregular bleeding although mine lasted about3 months but everybody is diffrent but yes its normal with mirenabut it will settle down

when i had mine put in i bleed for 3 months
